Solution Sets and Appliances

A Solution Set consists of building blocks that combine hardware and software components, utilizing all Interphase blades, PMCs, and software, or Interphase products integrated into third party products from our partners, to form a bundled systems solution, such as a VoIP Gateway, Media Gateway, or soft switch. These Solution Sets are made ready to plug into a CompactPCI (cPCI) or PICMG 2.16 chassis to complete the application-ready system.

These same Solution Sets can also be packaged into a 1U chassis as a finished appliance, like our iNAVTM 9200, a Multi-protocol Gateway used in DSLAM and Cable Modem networks and for LMDS applications, quickly allowing traffic to be converted between ATM and IP networks. Reuse is a key benefit of Interphase Solution Sets. For example, you may initially integrate an appliance with a command line interface and SNMP management functionality into your network. When you are ready to migrate to your next generation network, the subsystems of the appliance can be installed into a larger chassis without changing the software APIs or impacting any upper level applications.
